Company history

The company was founded in 1990 by Ing. Ivan Boruta; originally as a construction development studio. At that time, the company had only three employees. The interest in the company's quality services grew rapidly.

Together with demands for development and construction works, the company kept receiving production orders on regular basis. That is why, in 1994, the company started its production in rented spaces, especially in the area of human and veterinary medicine. These activities were mainly confined to operating tables (ATLAS series) for the local market, mobile chairs (SENOVA line) for Germany, birthing beds (MADRE line) for Germany, gynaecological examination chairs (RADIUS line) for the European market, veterinary tables and scales, and several other products. At that time, the company had 25 employees and was using the most up-to-date computer programs (I-DEAS) in the area of construction and development.

The annual growth of the production demands made the rented grounds no longer suitable.

In 1997, the owner of the company decided to build a new company premises. The same year, the employees moved to a new administration building and a new modern production hall in Fryčovice. By this time, the company had already commenced activities in the field of development and component production for railway vehicles. These were especially the supplies of seats for 1st and 2nd Class railway carriages and for club class carriages.

The company built another production hall and extended the administration building in 2001. Thus, the capacity of the entire company doubled.

The increased capacity and number of employees also led to a change in the company management. The company purchased a complex information system IS Helios including a production management system. The construction department was also reinforced by the Pro/Engineer software.

Borcad Company In 2002, the company Ing. Ivan Boruta-BORCAD transformed into the company BORCAD CZ s.r.o. This was the conclusion of one era in our history and the dawn of a new period marked by company growth and expansion. Today, we are seen as reliable suppliers of good quality medical technologies and seats and beds for passenger carriages with a very strong development and construction background, supplying to several European companies active worldwide.

The increasing turnover of the company and the related growth in production led to the 2007 decision of building other new halls and thus to increase the production by another 100%. The termination of construction works on the new production halls and their incorporation into the production process was realized in 2008.
